So I’m really happy with the turn out my oil stocks have been doing. Remember the oil stock post I did last week? Well none of the stocks did poorly as a matter of fact all of them did really well and showed a gains. My USO oil stock option was bought 2 weeks ago for .70 cents an option contract and I sold it off at $3.50 and I had 160 option contracts. It is a $9,000 investment and I liquidated the asset with a net proceeds of $43,000. I made $36k on a $9k investment which is really good. I still wanted to hold onto the options contract but I realized I was getting to greedy and made enough already. The Theta measurement was closing in everyday cause the contract expires on the 3rd Friday of this month so it was time to liquidate that asset and move onto another good investment.  I did a technical analysis on more stocks and looked through it all measuring the options by the VIX index which is really important to do when you are trading options for a profit.

So if anyone would of bought these picks and saw the oil index jump that I saw you would of came out good, especially trading options for any of these. Now oil is still moving up so it isn’t to late to find some good oil companies and invest for a mid-term length – 3-6 months. Prices of oil will increase as well as it usually does in the summer if you pay attention.
